This world-class bouldering area is set in a remote and tranquil forest near the historic town of Albarracin, Spain. The delightful town, with walls and towers dating from early Muslim times, a 16th century cathedral and medieval galleried houses, has rightly earned the honour of an international award for historical preservation.
Bouldering in Albarracin is truly special; exceptionally good and grippy rock (sandstone with quartz), accessible and interesting problems for all grades, a large variety of boulders close together, short approaches, and a bunch of keen and super-friendly climbers around. A must visit destination for anyone who loves bouldering, and hanging out in a beautiful forest and charming medieval town.

Weather & Climate in Albarracin
Albarracin has the great advantage of offering year-round bouldering. At 900 metres above sea level, the air is cooler than other, much warmer, lower-climbing regions in Spain. The best time to go climbing in Albarracin is from September till May. We also run trips in June, July and August. Although the weather can be hot during these months, in our experience there is usually a good breeze, dry air and temperatures cool down during the night which altogether creates good bouldering conditions, even in the midst of summer.
We offer long weekends (3 nights) from Friday till Monday, but can also organise week long holidays on request.
