Simon lives in North Wales most of the time but can also be found adventuring across the UK and in the Alps. He is a keen adventurer and spends all of his time questing and exploring whether it be climbing up or skiing down - as long as it's in the mountains! He also has a real daredevil side to his character and may also be found in a boat on white water or on a mountain bike!
He started climbing when he was a teenager and has followed the well travelled apprentice route of; indoor climbing to rock climbing across Britain, moving onto winter climbing in Scotland and Wales and then migrating to Europe to experience the Alps. Having also learnt to ski along the way, he now considers himself an alpinist, with several winter ascents of North Face routes. He is interested in the huge variety within mountaineering and his experience and interests encompass this. He is also a keen sport climber and ski mountaineer.
Simon has a passion for geography and has a BSc from the University of Wales. He is also an active member of Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team.
